Róbert Lovas

Dr. Robert Lovas, PhD habil. is the Deputy Director at SZTAKI, and associate professor at Óbuda University. He received his PhD degree in Informatics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and habilitated at the Óbuda University in 2017.

His main research topics include cloud computing, Big Data/IoT/AI applications and platforms. His solid, 20-year experience in wide range of R&D&I fields of numerical meteorological modeling, bioinformatics, agriculture, connected cars, and Industry 4.0 has been gained in various global, European and national ICT collaborations with academic organizations, universities, and enterprises.

 He has been coordinating or contributing to several national (GVOP, VKSZ, ELKH) and European (FP4-H2020) research and e-infrastructure projects. As a Bolyai/Bolyai+ scholarship holder and OTKA principal investigator his research addresses the modelling and enhancement of orchestration methods for virtual research platforms with machine learning.

More than 80 scientific papers and book chapters are in his publication records.
