
The Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB), coordinated by HUN-REN SZTAKI, held the 12th MILAB Meetup on July 2, 2025. The event focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and education, explored through presentations and discussions with participants.
The program was opened by Dr. Ferenc Dietz, President of Gábor Dénes University and head of the Education Working Group of the AI Coalition. In his talk, he addressed the growing presence of AI and the responsibilities of higher education institutions.
Next, Beáta Udvari, representing the Directorate for Education at the University of Szeged, presented their plans for applying AI to improve the quality of education, and discussed the practical challenges they face.
Practical examples from public education were presented by Anikó Róth Sándorné, a teacher of informatics and digital culture, and primary school teachers Edit Séllei and Ildikó Jéney.
Finally, Zsolt Szántó (University of Szeged) demonstrated, through a specific case study, how exam questions can be generated automatically from textual study materials.
