Péter Ekler is an associate professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Automation and Applied Informatics. He received his Ph.D. degree at BME in 2011. He has received the “IT professor of the year” award in 2014. His field of research covers mobile P2P and wireless networks. He has participated in several scientific papers and book chapters. He was involved in several mobile, data warehouse and business intelligence related projects. His main area of interest is software design development, leading development teams, research, innovation and teaching. He holds curses at BME Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics for more than 10 years. He was the supervisor of more than 150 MSC and BSC thesis works. He is also supervising 3 PhD students. He has participated in creating and introducing new subjects like Android based software development and Business intelligence. He is leading various research projects related to smart data management and artificial intelligence.
