On 18 October 2023, Csaba Benedek, Deputy Director of HUN-REN SZTAKI received Dr. Jake Phillips, Coordinator for Cybernetics in Central and Eastern Europe at the UK Foreign Office, and Levente Nyitrai and Krisztina Kocsis, both from the UK Embassy in Budapest.
On behalf of the Institute, Csaba Benedek, Deputy Director, welcomed the delegation, then presented the Institute and reviewed its achievements to date. After that, Péter Gáspár, Head of ARNL, presented the scientific activities of ARNL. Then Gábor Érdi-Krausz, Coordinator of the National Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (MILAB), gave a presentation on the MILAB’s scientific projects, highlighting the international collaborations (e.g., Horizon Europe, FaradAI, Buildchain), the Gaia-X collaboration, and the AI & AUT Expo 2023 in February 2023, with active UK participation.
In the Institute's Innovation and Demonstration Space, the members of the delegation watched live technical demos related to the current research and development activities. The demos were prepared and presented by researchers of the Institute and of the aforementioned national laboratories.
