On 28 January 2022, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) and the Digitális Jólét Nonprofit Ltd. organised an exhibition entitled Artificial Intelligence and Technology at the ZalaZone test track in Zalaegerszeg. Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory and the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems, coordinated by SZTAKI, both also participated in the exhibition.
The main objective of the exhibition was to show the visitors the development of artificial intelligence, 5G and drone technologies, their potential and their practical application. The exhibition was attended by Prof. László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology, and Dr. Károly Balázs Solymár, Deputy State Secretary for Digitalisation at the Ministry of ITM, as well as a large number of public and business representatives.
Our institute and the National Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence led by SZTAKI presented themselves at the exhibition with two separate stands. At the SZTAKI stand, László Palkovics and his entourage were shown demos of "human-faced robotics", "drones and drone formations" and "artificial intelligence vehicles in augmented reality", and were given a presentation by our colleagues on the background of the solutions and the practical application of the technologies.
At the MILAB booth, we presented research on agricultural topics within the consortium. Guests were able to see demonstrations of sensor-based, AI-enhanced systems for improving the efficiency of livestock and crop production from ELTE, SZTAKI and the University of Győr.
