HUN-REN SZTAKI and its coordinated National Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (MILAB) also participated in one of the biggest AI-themed business conferences of the autumn, the AI Summit.

The BVDA (Big Data Value Association) held its annual conference, the European Big Data Value Forum 2024, in Budapest, Hungary, from 2 to 4 October 2024. The EBDVF is the flagship event of the Big Data Value Association, bringing together the entire European data-driven AI research and innovation community to share knowledge, collaborate and celebrate achievements. The EBDVF 2024 is a collaboration between the European Commission and local partners including MILAB coordinator institute HUN-REN SZTAKI, Eötvös Loránd University, Ideal-ist and the Neumann Technology Platform.

The MILAB coordinator institute welcomed visitors with more than ten programmes, including a robot dog demonstration, self-flying drones and the 50th anniversary of the microprocessor revolution.

A delegation from the Chinese Institute of Science and Technology Information (ISTIC), a backbone institution of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, visited our Institute, organized by the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network and the Budapest office of Ningbo CEEC Innovation Center.

MILAB coordinator HUN-REN SZTAKI's portrait-drawing robot worked its way through the 2024 conference held between 26 and 29 August, where two researchers from the institute also gave lectures on the its operation and development challenges. More than 200 drawings from around the same number of people were made during the event. Report.

On 19 June 2024, the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB), coordinated by HUN-REN SZTAKI, held its summer Professional Day. This year's Professional Day was organised by MILAB in collaboration with the NJSZT - KEPAF. The full-day programme included a State Welcome Address and industry presentations in the morning, followed by the NJSZT KEPAF session in the afternoon.
