András Benczúr gave an hour-long interview to the Machine Learning Budapest podcast about his career in science, AI and everything in between.

The Hungarian Artificial Intelligence Coalition held a professional partner day on 15.06., and a public exhibition on 16.06. Demonstrations of the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI) and other partners of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB) were on display at the Q building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

University of Győr has strong roots in engineering and informational technology, thus it is managing a project with precision farming in its focus – reports magyarmezogazdasag.hu. MILAB is also involved in the research.

The online conference had a limited number of attendees to focus on on-going projects, showcased by their sub-project leads.

The AI Coalition of Hungary and the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory held a successful conference on the 28th of April, 2021, titled “The effect of the language technology revolution on Hungarian customer services” in front of more than a hundred online attendees, supported by the Digital Success Programme.

On the 5th of November 2020, researchers of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory held an online webinar in front of scientists and industry partners to discuss challenges faced in language technology and automation of customer and other communication driven services.

Researchers of SZATKI participate in the Horizon 2020 AIDPATH project that aims to facilitate the so-called CAR-T therapies tailored to individual patients by using the cutting-edge achievements in artificial intelligence as well as production planning and scheduling techniques. The results are expected to be utilized in hematology, oncology, and handling various contagious and immune diseases. 

With the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), Hungary, as artificial intelligence developer partner, the Hexa-X flagship project received 12MEUR funding from the European Commission for research in beyond 5G/6G radio technology connecting human, physical, and digital worlds.

Mr. Gábor Érdi-Krausz, the project coordinator of MILAB, introduced the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory to the audience in the “From now to forever” section of MENTA. He outlined MILAB’s place in the Hungarian AI ecosystem and also offered a partnership to market participants to collaborate with MILAB’s research community.
