Researchers of HUN-REN SZTAKI presented at the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) Technical Geoinformatics Conference, held on April 25-26, 2024, in Esztergom at the St. Adalbert Event Center, located in the historic district, embraced by the Basilica and the Danube.
In the plenary session of the conference, Gábor Érdi-Krausz, the project coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory, gave a presentation titled "The Hungarian Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem and Its Actors, Research Projects at the AI National Laboratory."
In the artificial intelligence section, researchers of the Machine Perception Research Laboratory presented valuable lectures: Sándor Gazdag on "Application of Artificial Spatial Intelligence for Indoor Team Localization," and Barnabás Bugár-Mészáros on "Aerial-Ground Cooperative Mapping with Autonomous Vehicles." Additionally, András Molnár from the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory presented on "Route Planning and Visitor Management on Tourist Route Networks."
GITA (Geospatial Information & Technology Association) is an international geospatial nonprofit organization that focuses on the application of automated mapping and facilities management (AM/FM), geoinformatics (GIS), system monitoring and data collection (SCADA), and related IT technologies in the fields of utilities, government agencies, municipalities, and other organizations.
