MILAB also participated in the EBVDA forum in Budapest

The BVDA (Big Data Value Association) held its annual conference, the European Big Data Value Forum 2024, in Budapest, Hungary, from 2 to 4 October 2024. The EBDVF is the flagship event of the Big Data Value Association, bringing together the entire European data-driven AI research and innovation community to share knowledge, collaborate and celebrate achievements. The EBDVF 2024 is a collaboration between the European Commission and local partners including MILAB coordinator institute HUN-REN SZTAKI, Eötvös Loránd University, Ideal-ist and the Neumann Technology Platform.

In addition to being a member of the organizing committee of the event, HUN-REN SZTAKI gave a plenary welcome speech at the event, delivered by András Benczúr, head of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB) and the institute’s Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory. András Benczúr also participated in the panel “Europe for Global leadership in AI and Data - A policy and research perspective”.

In the panel discussion “Expanding data-driven ecosystems across sectors and global value chains”, Gábor Érdi-Krausz, project coordinator for industrial relations at MILAB, also participated.

Csaba Kerepesi, head of the BioAgeAI research group of the HUN-REN SZTAKI Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory, gave a presentation in the session “Leveraging AI and Data Spaces to Revolutionise Agrobusiness”.
