ISTIC delegation visits HUN-REN SZTAKI

A delegation from the Chinese Institute of Science and Technology Information (ISTIC), a backbone institution of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, visited our Institute, organized by the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network and the Budapest office of Ningbo CEEC Innovation Center.

The aim of the meeting was to get acquainted with the research institutions of HUN-REN MI research and development, and to review the development of Hungarian-Chinese MI research cooperation.

Róbert Lovas, Deputy Director, introduced HUN-REN SZTAKI and talked about the role of our institute in the AI4Science project. Gábor Érdi-Krausz, Project Coordinator of MILAB, presented the MILAB’s activities and sub-projects. Ferenc Béres and Csaba Kerepesi from the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory presented their research projects.

From the Chinese delegation, Director Liu Zhihui presented ISTIC (Institute of Science and Technology of China), and Professor Xiuquan Li, Deputy Director of the ISTIC Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, spoke about the Chinese AI for Science programme.
