A delegation from the French Institute of Budapest Visited MILAB-coordinator HUN-REN SZTAKI

On October 17, 2025, a delegation from the French Institute of Budapest visited HUN-REN SZTAKI to learn about the Institute’s scientific activities and demonstrations.

The delegation included Elena Maksimovich, Founder and CEO of Wather Trade Net, a company specializing in climate adaptation; Fabien Le Voyer, Artificial Intelligence Program Director at Inria; and Ambroise Courant and Hajnalka Hargitai, Scientific and Academic Cooperation Officers at the French Institute of Budapest.

During the visit, the guests received an overview of HUN-REN SZTAKI’s operations, research activities, programs, and its role within the Hungarian and international scientific community. Presentations were given by Csaba Benedek, Deputy Director for Research Coordination; Róbert Lovas, Deputy Director for IT and Operations; Bálint Vanek, Deputy Director for Organizational Development; and András Benczúr, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory and Scientific Coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory, coordinated by HUN-REN SZTAKI.

Following the presentations, the guests had the opportunity to try HUN-REN SZTAKI’s portrait-drawing robot and attend interactive demonstrations showcasing the Institute’s AI research, including studies related to aging research.
