Chinese investor delegation visits the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory

On Wednesday, 12 July 2023, a Chinese delegation of investors and government officials visited the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems (ARNL) and the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB).

The two national laboratories were visited by Mao Song Bai, Governor of Haizhu District in Guangzhou, led by the district government leaders and representatives of the district’s investment fund, Guangzhou Haizhu City Construction and Development Group Co.

The delegation first listened to a presentation by Gábor Érdi-Krausz, Project Coordinator of MILAB, on the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory, followed by a presentation by Tamás Péni, Senior Research Fellow of the SZTAKI Systems and Control Laboratory, on the research and operations of the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems.

The delegation also attended demonstrations on artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and robotics at the two national laboratories coordinated by SZTAKI. One of the objectives of the visit was to establish long-term cooperation in the field of innovation and R&D.

The visit was organised by Windstone Global Ltd. through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH). Artificial intelligence, digital economy and biotechnology are priority areas in the Haizhu District Urban Development Plan.
